Interest in my current profession was inspired by art installations such as Uni SA’s ‘MOD’ exhibition and from the works of Es Devin alike. Becoming mesmerised by the use of lighting in structural art and fascinated by collaborating with other fields of work to create art that transforms a space. It wasn’t until I started studying at the Adelaide College of the Arts in 2020 that I started to become invested in theatre and became passionate about creating a space for characters to come alive in.
Skills range from timber construction to scenic art to design and the ever evolving world of props including moulding, casting and sculpture. Always an art kid with interest in drawing; it wasn’t until 2014 I began to teach myself how to paint portraiture using oils. Completed a cert III qualification for visual arts in year 12 as part of a VET course and completed cert IV in stage construction, prop making and scenic art in 2021. I recently graduated AC Arts completing my diploma in the Live Production and Technical Services Program for Live Design, where I worked on shows such as 'IMMATERIAL' (2021) choreographed by Alix Kuijpers and 'Clark in Sarajevo' (2022) directed by Yasmin Gurreeboo, among contributing to a multitude of shows during my 3 years of study. Following my studies, I worked as a assistant designer to Bianka Kennedy for State-side show 'Kill Climate Deniers' with Kinetik Collective.
