Oil on canvas covered MDF

Subject: Alex Murphy
I am unfamiliar with painting what’s around me, things that mirror my personal life. I rather hold onto aesthetics to create. Nothing ever really meant anything. I enjoy being distant from my art work, finding colour and movement in the aesthetics of music and creating false contexts for my work.
However, they always end up subconsciously reflecting my life and relationships with others. My brother, a 17 year old boy stuck in between passages of life with a hot and cold temperament, someone who would call me a forever broke art student but would also sit for a portrait.
